Ingredients
- Sushi rice – 3 cups / 600 g
- Nori sheets – 8 sheets
- Fresh salmon – 200 g
- Cucumber – 1, thinly sliced
- Avocado – 1, sliced
- Soy sauce – 1/4 cup / 60 ml
- Pickled ginger – 50 g
- Wasabi – To taste
- Sesame seeds – 2 tbsp
Instructions
- Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, allow it to cool to a manageable temperature.
- Slice the salmon into thin strips and prepare the cucumber and avocado.
- Take a nori sheet in your hand, rough side facing upwards.
- Place a scoop of sushi rice onto the left side of the nori, and gently spread it across one-third of the sheet.
- Add a few slices of salmon, cucumber, and avocado onto the rice.
- Sprinkle some sesame seeds over and roll into a cone shape, sealing with a little water.
- Serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi.
