This delightful sweet bread is characterized by its generous inclusion of pearl sugar, which melts slightly during baking to create a caramelized, crunchy texture in every slice. Traditionally, this bread is enjoyed as a treat, often during special occasions such as holidays or family gatherings. Its heavenly sweetness, combined with the aromatic scent of cinnamon, makes it a beloved staple in Dutch households.
