Ingredients

  • Ground beef – 300 g / 10.5 oz
  • Ground pork – 200 g / 7 oz
  • Bacon strips – 8 strips
  • Onion, finely chopped – 1 medium / 150 g
  • Egg – 1 large
  • Breadcrumbs – 50 g / 1/2 cup
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
  • Nutmeg – 1/4 tsp
  • Butter – 2 tbsp / 30 g

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until evenly mixed.
  2. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions.
  3. Wrap each portion of the meat mixture with a strip of bacon, securing it with toothpicks if necessary.
  4. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and place the slavinks in the skillet.
  5. Cook for about 8-10 minutes on each side until the bacon is crisp and the meat is cooked through.
  6. Remove the slavinks from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
