Ingredients
- Ground beef – 300 g / 10.5 oz
- Ground pork – 200 g / 7 oz
- Bacon strips – 8 strips
- Onion, finely chopped – 1 medium / 150 g
- Egg – 1 large
- Breadcrumbs – 50 g / 1/2 cup
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
- Nutmeg – 1/4 tsp
- Butter – 2 tbsp / 30 g
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until evenly mixed.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions.
- Wrap each portion of the meat mixture with a strip of bacon, securing it with toothpicks if necessary.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and place the slavinks in the skillet.
- Cook for about 8-10 minutes on each side until the bacon is crisp and the meat is cooked through.
- Remove the slavinks from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
