Ingredients
- all-purpose flour – 2 cups / 240 g
- warm water – 3/4 cup / 180 ml
- unsalted butter, softened – 1/4 cup / 60 g
- sweetened condensed milk – 2 tbsp / 30 ml
- salt – 1/2 tsp
- sugar – 1 tbsp / 15 g
- oil – for greasing
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Gradually add the warm water, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll them into balls. Cover with a damp cloth and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Roll each dough ball into a thin circle, spread a teaspoon of butter, then drizzle some condensed milk over it.
- Fold the edges inward to form a square. Roll out again slightly.
- Heat a non-stick skillet and grease with oil, then fry each Roti Bom on medium heat until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Serve hot, optionally with more condensed milk or curry.
