Ingredients
- Trappista cheese – 500 g / 17.6 oz
- All-purpose flour – 1 cup / 120 g
- Eggs – 3 large
- Breadcrumbs – 2 cups / 200 g
- Vegetable oil – For frying
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
Instructions
- Slice the cheese into thick sticks, about 1 cm wide.
- Set up a breading station: place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs with salt and pepper in another, and breadcrumbs in a third.
- Coat each piece of cheese first in flour, then dip it in eggs, and finally coat it in breadcrumbs, ensuring full coverage.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan to 180°C (350°F).
