  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
  • Basil, fresh – Handful

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add onions and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and ground beef to the skillet, breaking the meat apart with a spatula. Cook until beef is browned.
  4. Stir in tomato passata, reduce heat to low, and let simmer for 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with poppy seeds.
