Ingredients

  • ground pork – 500 g / 1 lb
  • garlic, minced – 3 cloves / 10 g
  • coriander root, chopped – 2 roots / 10 g
  • white pepper – 1 tsp / 2 g
  • fish sauce – 2 tbsp / 30 ml
  • sugar – 1 tbsp / 12 g
  • skewers – 8 wooden or metal
  • sweet chili sauce – for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, minced garlic, chopped coriander root, white pepper, fish sauce, and sugar.
  2. Mix thoroughly using your hands until the mixture is well combined and sticky.
  3. Divide the mixture into 1-inch balls. Roll them tightly so they hold together when grilled.
  4. Thread 4-5 meatballs onto each skewer.
  5. Preheat a grill or grilling pan over medium heat. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  6. Grill skewers for approximately 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and thoroughly cooked.
  7. Serve with sweet chili sauce for dipping.
