- egg yolk – 1 large
- unsalted butter – 2 tablespoons / 28 g
- all-purpose flour – 1 tablespoon / 8 g

- black pepper – to taste
- fresh dill, chopped – 2 tablespoons
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer over medium heat.
- Add the sliced carrot and diced potatoes. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the sour cream, egg yolk, and flour until smooth. Gradually stir in a ladle of hot broth to temper the mixture.
- Slowly pour the tempered sour cream mixture into the pot, stirring continuously to avoid curdling.
