Ingredients
- cooked white rice – 3 cups / 450 g
- cooked black beans – 2 cups / 300 g
- olive oil – 2 tbsp / 30 ml
- chopped onion – 1 small / 100 g
- chopped red bell pepper – 1 small / 120 g
- minced garlic – 2 cloves
- Salsa Lizano – 3 tbsp / 45 ml
- fresh cilantro, chopped – 1/4 cup / 15 g
- salt – to taste
- black pepper – to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and red bell pepper, sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Add the cooked black beans, cooked rice, and Salsa Lizano. Stir to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until everything is heated through and well incorporated.
- Remove from heat and stir in fresh cilantro.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional cilantro if desired.
