- all-purpose flour – 1 cup / 130 g
- water – 4 cups / 960 ml
- smoked paprika – 1 teaspoon
- salt – to taste
- black pepper – to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Slowly add flour to the pan, stirring continuously, and cook for 3-4 minutes until it turns a light golden color.
- Gradually whisk in water, ensuring no lumps form, and keep stirring.
- Add smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to taste. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and achieves a smooth consistency, approximately 10-15 minutes.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional smoked paprika if desired.
