  • bay leaves – 3 pieces
  • peppercorns – 1 teaspoon / 5 g
  • onion – 1 medium, sliced
  • cooking oil – 2 tablespoons / 30 ml
  • sugar – 1 teaspoon / 4 g
  • salt – to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean the frog’s legs thoroughly, removing any residual skin or membranes.
  2. In a pan, heat cooking oil over medium heat. Sauté garlic until golden brown, then add onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Add the frog’s legs to the pan and cook for 5 minutes, turning occasionally until they start to brown.
  4. Pour in soy sauce, vinegar, and water. Add bay leaves, peppercorns, and sugar. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for about 25 minutes or until the frog’s legs are tender and the sauce has thickened.
  6. Season with salt to taste and remove bay leaves before serving.
