Ingredients
- ground beef – 500 g / 1.1 lbs
- ground lamb – 250 g / 0.55 lbs
- garlic cloves, minced – 3
- salt – 1 tsp
- freshly ground black pepper – 1/2 tsp
- paprika – 1/2 tsp
- baking soda – 1/4 tsp
- sparkling water – 2 tbsp
- onion, finely chopped – 1
- somun or pita bread – 4
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef and lamb.
- Mix in minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Add baking soda and sparkling water to the mixture to tenderize the meat.
- Knead the mixture well until all ingredients are incorporated; refrigerate for at least one hour for flavors to meld.

- Shape the meat mixture into finger-length sausages.
- Grill ćevapi for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally until they are browned and cooked through.
