Ingredients

- Mirin – 2 tablespoons / 30 ml
- Sugar – 1 tablespoon / 12 g
- Sesame oil – 1 tablespoon / 15 ml
- Salt – 1 teaspoon / 5 g
- Black pepper – 1 teaspoon / 2 g
- Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger – 1 tablespoon / 6 g, grated
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well to create a marinade.
- Place the chicken wings in a large resealable plastic bag, pour the marinade over the wings, and seal the bag. Refrigerate the wings for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for enhanced flavor.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove wings from the marinade and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle shichimi togarashi, salt, and black pepper evenly over the wings.
- Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until the wings are golden brown and fully cooked, turning them halfway through.
- Serve hot with an extra sprinkle of shichimi togarashi, if desired.
