Ingredients
- all-purpose flour – 2 cups / 240 g
- unsalted butter – 1/2 cup / 113 g
- granulated sugar – 1/4 cup / 50 g
- egg yolks – 4 large
- vanilla extract – 1 tsp
- heavy cream – 1 cup / 240 ml
- powdered sugar – 1/4 cup / 30 g
- confectioner’s sugar (for dusting) – as needed
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg yolks and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour until the dough is smooth and pliable. Roll out thinly on a floured surface.
- Cut the dough into strips and wrap around metal cones to form tubes.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until stiff peaks form.
- Fill a piping bag with the whipped cream and carefully fill each pastry tube.
- Dust with confectioner’s sugar before serving.
