Ingredients

  • pig trotters – 4 pieces
  • water – 2 liters

  • all-purpose flour – 1 cup / 120 g
  • eggs – 2, beaten
  • breadcrumbs – 1 cup / 120 g
  • vegetable oil – for frying

Instructions

  1. Clean and rinse the pig trotters under cold water.
  2. Place pig trotters in a large pot with water, salt, peppercorns, bay leaves, and garlic. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 hours until tender.
  3. Remove trotters from the broth and let cool. Pat dry with paper towels.
  4. Prepare a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate shallow dishes.
  5. Coat each trotter in flour, dip in egg, and cover with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the breaded trotters until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Drain on paper towels before serving hot.
