- Fresh white fish fillets – 500 g / 1.1 lbs
- Pineapple chunks – 1 cup / 150 g
- Cornstarch – 3 tbsp / 24 g
- Egg – 1 large
- Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger – 1 tbsp / 6 g, minced
- Green onions – 2, finely chopped
- Soy sauce – 2 tbsp / 30 ml
- Lime juice – 1 tbsp / 15 ml
- Vegetable oil – for frying
- Salt – to taste
- Black pepper – to taste
Instructions
- Cut the fish fillets into small pieces and place them in a food processor.
- Add the pineapple chunks, cornstarch, egg, garlic, ginger, and soy sauce to the processor. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pulse until the mixture is well combined but still slightly chunky.
- Shape the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the balls in batches until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm with a sprinkle of green onions and a drizzle of lime juice.
