Ingredients
- garlic cloves – 200 g / approx. 2 cups (peeled)
- white vinegar – 1 cup / 240 ml
- water – 1/2 cup / 120 ml
- sugar – 2 tbsp / 25 g
- salt – 1 tsp / 5 g
- bay leaves – 2 leaves
- black peppercorns – 1 tsp / 4.5 g
- honey – 1 tbsp / 21 g
- olive oil – 2 tbsp / 28 ml
Instructions
- Peel the garlic cloves and set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, bay leaves, and peppercorns. Bring to a boil over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Add garlic cloves to the mixture and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely. Stir in honey after cooling.
- Transfer the mixture to a jar, add olive oil on top, seal it tightly, and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before using.
