Ingredients

  • garlic cloves, minced – 3 cloves
  • tomato sauce – 1 cup / 240 ml
  • olive oil – 2 tbsp / 30 ml
  • cumin – 1 tsp
  • oregano – 1 tsp
  • salt and pepper – to taste
  • cilantro, chopped – 1/4 cup / 15 g

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions, bell pepper, and garlic, sauté until the onions become translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in diced potatoes, tomato sauce, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  6. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking, adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
