Ingredients

  • beef sirloin – 1 pound / 450 g
  • green bell peppers – 2 medium / 300 g
  • soy sauce – 1/4 cup / 60 ml
  • cornstarch – 2 tablespoons / 16 g
  • vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons / 30 ml
  • garlic cloves – 3 cloves, minced
  • ginger – 1 inch piece, minced
  • sugar – 1 teaspoon / 4 g
  • oyster sauce – 1 tablespoon / 15 ml

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the beef against the grain and coat with cornstarch.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sugar, and oyster sauce.
  3. Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Fry beef until browned.
  4. Add garlic and ginger, stir briefly, then add peppers.
  5. Pour in the sauce mixture, stir-fry for another 3 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with steamed rice.
