Ingredients
- Fresh crab meat – 500 g / 1.1 lbs
- Onion, finely chopped – 1 large / 150 g
- Garlic cloves, minced – 3 cloves
- Butter – 4 tbsp / 56 g
- Whole milk – 1 cup / 240 ml
- Heavy cream – 1/2 cup / 120 ml
- White wine – 1/3 cup / 80 ml
- Bread crumbs – 1/2 cup / 60 g
- Grated Parmesan cheese – 1/2 cup / 50 g
- Paprika – 1 tsp / 2 g
- Salt – to taste
- Ground black pepper – to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped – 2 tbsp
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté the onions and garlic until translucent.
- Add the crab meat to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the white wine and allow it to reduce slightly.
- Stir in the milk and cream, then let the mixture simmer gently.
- Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the crab mixture to a casserole dish, evenly distribute bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
