Ingredients
- papad – 4 large pieces
- onion – 1 cup / 150 g, finely chopped
- tomato – 1 cup / 180 g, finely chopped
- green chilies – 2, finely chopped
- coriander leaves – 1/2 cup / 30 g, chopped
- chaat masala – 1 teaspoon
- lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
- salt – to taste
- cooking oil – for shallow frying
Instructions
- Heat oil in a wide pan and shallow fry the papads one at a time until they are crisp. Alternatively, you can microwave them on high for 40-60 seconds until they puff up and become crisp.
- In a mixing bowl, combine finely chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilies, and coriander leaves.
- Add chaat masala, lemon juice, and salt to the vegetable mixture and mix well.
- Place each crispy papad on a serving plate. Evenly distribute the vegetable mixture over each papad.
- Serve immediately as a starter or snack.
