Often prepared in rural households, this bread stands out with its rich cultural history, having been passed down through generations. Its preparation evokes the warmth and simplicity of Bosnian family kitchens, where the use of natural fermentation reflects the region’s reliance on fresh, accessible ingredients. Traditionally cooked in wood-fired ovens, these breads embody both nostalgia and a deep connection to their heritage.
