Originating from the kitchens of Ottoman palaces, this dish encapsulates the fusion of rice, tender minced meat, and spices, creating a juicy, savory delight. Typically served with a side of fresh salad or yogurt, Kadınbudu Köfte remains a beloved staple in Turkish cuisine, perfect for gatherings and family meals.

Ingredients

  • Ground beef – 500 g / 1.1 lbs
  • Onion – 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Cooked rice – 1 cup / 200 g
  • Eggs – 2, beaten
  • Bread crumbs – 1/2 cup / 60 g

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, half of the chopped onion, cooked rice, one egg, salt, black pepper, and cumin. Mix until well combined.
