Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour – 2 cups / 240 g
  • Unsalted butter – 1 cup / 225 g
  • Sour cream – 1/2 cup / 120 g
  • Prune jam – 1 cup / 240 g
  • Powdered sugar – For dusting

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. 2. In a large bowl, combine the flour and butter using a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3. Add sour cream and mix until a dough forms.
  4. 4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour.
  5. 5. Roll out the dough to 1/8 inch thick on a floured surface and cut into 3-inch squares.
  6. 6. Place a teaspoon of prune jam in the center of each square.
  7. 7. Make cuts from each corner of the square towards the center without touching the jam.
  8. 8. Fold every other tip toward the center to form a pinwheel shape.
  9. 9. Transfer pastries to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. 10. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  11. 11. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
