Ingredients

  • all-purpose flour – 3 cups / 360 g
  • warm milk – 1 cup / 240 ml
  • unsalted butter – 1/4 cup / 60 g
  • sugar – 1/4 cup / 50 g
  • instant yeast – 2 teaspoons
  • salt – 1 teaspoon
  • ham slices – 6 slices
  • eggs – 3, boiled and sliced
  • egg yolk – 1 for egg wash
  • black sesame seeds – 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast together.
  2. Add warm milk and knead the dough until smooth. Knead in the butter until fully incorporated.
  3. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  4. Split the dough into 6 pieces, flatten each piece, and place a slice of ham and some egg slices in the center.
  5. Shape the dough around the filling, sealing it well. Place buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the buns with egg yolk and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the buns for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
