Ingredients

  • canned tuna – 1 cup / 150 g
  • grated coconut – 1/2 cup / 50 g
  • onion, finely chopped – 1 small / 85 g
  • green chili, finely chopped – 1 small
  • lime juice – 1 tablespoon / 15 ml
  • all-purpose flour – 1 1/2 cups / 180 g
  • water – 1/2 cup / 120 ml
  • salt – 1 teaspoon / 5 g
  • coconut oil – for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the canned tuna, grated coconut, onion, green chili, and lime juice.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, water, and salt to form a smooth dough.
  3. Divide the dough into small portions and roll into balls.
  4. Flatten each ball into a disc, add a spoonful of the tuna mixture in the center, and seal to form a dumpling.
  5. Heat coconut oil in a pan and fry the dumplings until they are golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with chutney or dipping sauce.
