Ingredients
- beef – 500 g / 1.1 lbs
- onion, chopped – 1 large / 150 g
- tomato paste – 3 tablespoons / 45 g
- peanut butter – 2 tablespoons / 30 g
- okra, sliced – 200 g / 7 oz
- spinach – 200 g / 7 oz
- water – 3 cups / 720 ml
- salt – 1 teaspoon / 5 g
- black pepper – 1 teaspoon / 5 g
- chili powder – 1 teaspoon / 5 g
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium heat, add the chopped onions, and sauté until translucent.
- Add the beef pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Stir in the tomato paste and peanut butter, mixing well to coat the beef.
- Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat to a simmer and add the okra, spinach, salt, black pepper, and chili powder.
- Cover and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until the beef is tender and the flavors are well combined.
- Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
