Ingredients
- bone-in pork chops – 4 pieces
- lime juice – 1/4 cup / 60 mL
- garlic, minced – 4 cloves
- onion, sliced – 1 medium / 150 g
- cumin – 1 tsp / 2 g
- oregano – 1 tsp / 1 g
- olive oil – 2 tbsp / 30 mL
- salt – 1 tsp / 5 g
- black pepper – 1/2 tsp / 1 g
- fresh cilantro, chopped – 2 tbsp / 8 g
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
- Place the pork chops in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Add sliced onions on top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, ideally overnight, to marinate.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Remove the pork chops from the marinade and shake off excess onions before placing them in the pan.
- Cook each side for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro before serving.
