- ghee – 2 tablespoons / 28 g
- onion, finely chopped – 1 large / 150 g
- garlic cloves, minced – 3 cloves / 15 g
- ginger, minced – 1 inch piece / 15 g
- tomatoes, chopped – 2 medium / 240 g
- cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon / 2 g
- coriander powder – 2 teaspoons / 4 g
- turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon / 1 g
- chili powder – 1 teaspoon / 2 g
- potato, diced – 2 medium / 300 g
- carrots, sliced – 2 medium / 200 g
- peas – 1 cup / 150 g
- boneless chicken, cubed – 500 g / 1 lb
- water – 2 cups / 480 ml
- salt – to taste
- fresh coriander leaves, chopped – for garnish
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds and allow them to crackle.
- Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
- Add tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Mix in coriander, turmeric, and chili powders.
- Add chicken, potatoes, carrots, and peas, stirring well.
- Pour in water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
- Season with salt and garnish with coriander leaves before serving.
