Ingredients
- boneless chicken breasts – 500 g / 1.1 lbs
- plain yogurt – 1 cup / 240 g
- ginger paste – 2 tablespoons / 30 g
- garlic paste – 2 tablespoons / 30 g
- cumin powder – 1 teaspoon / 2 g
- coriander powder – 1 teaspoon / 2 g
- garam masala – 1 teaspoon / 2 g
- turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon / 1 g
- red chili powder – 1 teaspoon / 2 g
- lemon juice – 2 tablespoons / 30 ml
- salt – to taste
- oil – 2 tablespoons / 30 ml
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized chunks.
- In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken chunks to the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight, to allow flavors to develop.
- Preheat the grill or oven to 200°C (390°F).
- Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers and brush with oil.
- Grill or bake for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and has a golden char.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges and fresh mint chutney.
