- Jalapeño, chopped – 1
- Cilantro, chopped – 1/2 cup / 30 g
- Ground cumin – 1 tsp / 5 g
- Salt – 1 tsp / 5 g
- Black pepper – 1/2 tsp / 2.5 g
- Corn tortillas – 8
- White onion, chopped – 1
- Avocado, sliced – 1
- Lime wedges – for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped jalapeño, cilantro, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the steak. Seal the bag, remove excess air, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the grill to high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and pat it dry with paper towels.
- Grill the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness.
- Let the steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
- Warm the corn tortillas on the grill or a skillet until pliable.
- Assemble the tacos by placing sliced steak on each tortilla, garnishing with chopped onion, avocado slices, and a squeeze of lime.
