Bratislavský rožok, a delectable crescent-shaped pastry deeply rooted in Slovakian tradition, dates back to the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Known for its buttery, flaky crust and rich fillings of poppy seeds or walnuts, Bratislavský rožok is a beloved treat typically enjoyed during holidays and celebrations in Slovakia. Its distinct ‘S’ or ‘C’ shapes signify the type of filling inside, making it not only a feast for the taste buds but also a visual delight, emblematic of Slovakia’s rich pastry heritage.
