Ingredients

  • Swiss chard – 500 g / 1.1 lbs
  • Potatoes – 500 g / 1.1 lbs
  • Garlic cloves – 3
  • Olive oil – 3 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper – to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the potatoes into large cubes.
  2. In a large pot, boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. While the potatoes are boiling, wash the Swiss chard thoroughly, then chop it coarsely.
  4. In the last five minutes of boiling the potatoes, add the Swiss chard to the pot and boil until wilted.
  5. Drain the potatoes and chard, then return them to the pot.
  6. Add minced garlic and olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
  7. Serve warm as a side dish or a light main.
