Ingredients

  • whole sea bream (besugo) – 1.5 kg / 3.3 lbs
  • olive oil – 100 ml / 3.4 fl oz
  • garlic cloves, thinly sliced – 4 cloves
  • white wine – 150 ml / 5 fl oz
  • lemon, thinly sliced – 1
  • parsley, chopped – 2 tbsp / 8 g
  • salt – to taste
  • black pepper – to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Place the sea bream on a baking tray. Rub with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
  3. Insert lemon slices and half the garlic into the fish’s cavity.
  4. Drizzle remaining olive oil on top and scatter the rest of the garlic over the fish.
  5. Pour the white wine into the tray and place it in the oven.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the fish is cooked through, and the skin is golden.
  7. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the fish before serving.
