Ingredients

  • pasta (square-cut łazanki) – 300 g / 10.5 oz
  • white cabbage – 400 g / 14 oz
  • smoked kielbasa sausage – 250 g / 9 oz
  • mushrooms – 200 g / 7 oz
  • onion – 1 medium, chopped
  • butter – 2 tbsp / 28 g
  • olive oil – 1 tbsp / 15 ml
  • salt – to taste
  • black pepper – to taste
  • fresh dill – for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are browned and their moisture evaporates.
  4. Stir in the kielbasa slices and cook until they are slightly crispy.
  5. Add the cabbage to the skillet and cook until softened, about 10 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
  6. Mix the drained pasta with the cabbage mixture, ensuring everything is well combined. Cook for another 2 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped dill.
