Ingredients

  • Mixed Mushrooms – 1 lb / 450 g
  • Onion – 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Butter – 3 tablespoons / 42 g

  • Fresh Thyme – 1 teaspoon, finely chopped
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black Pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh Parsley – 1 tablespoon, chopped

Instructions

  1. Clean and slice the mushrooms if necessary. If mushrooms are small, leave them whole.
  2. In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onions and garlic, sautéing until the onions are translucent.
  4. Add the mushrooms to the pan and stir to coat them with the onion-garlic butter mixture.
  5. Sprinkle the thyme leaves, salt, and black pepper over the mushrooms.
  6. Cover the pan and let the mushrooms cook gently for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and have released their juices.
  7. Remove the lid and cook for another 2-3 minutes to let some of the liquid evaporate, enhancing the flavors.
  8. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving hot.
