Ingredients
- millet flour – 500 g / 4 cups
- all-purpose flour – 120 g / 1 cup
- water – 600 ml / 2.5 cups
- instant yeast – 10 g / 2 tsp
- sugar – 50 g / 1/4 cup
- salt – 5 g / 1 tsp
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine millet flour and all-purpose flour.
- Dissolve sugar and salt in 500 ml of warm water.
- Add this water mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well to form a thick batter.
- Stir in the instant yeast, ensuring it is well incorporated.
- Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and allow the dough to ferment in a warm place for at least 4 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Grease a steaming tray or mold, and pour in the fermented batter.
- Steam the batter over boiling water for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread has set.
- Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
