- salt – 1 tsp
- black pepper – 1/2 tsp
- beef broth – 1 cup / 240 ml
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onions and garlic, sauté until onions become translucent.
- Increase the heat to medium-high, add ground beef, cook until browned.
- Stir in bell pepper, cook for about 3 minutes until softened.
- Pour in canned tomatoes with their juice, then mix in tomato paste.
- Add kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir in beef broth, bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
