Ingredients

  • ground beef – 1 lb / 450 g
  • salt – 1 tsp / 5 g
  • black pepper – 1 tsp / 5 g
  • hamburger buns – 4 buns
  • green chili sauce – 2 cups / 480 ml
  • cheddar cheese – 1 cup shredded / 100 g
  • chopped onions – 1/2 cup / 75 g

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and form patties. Season each patty with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill or fry each patty for approximately 4-5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  4. Heat the green chili sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Place each patty on the bottom half of a hamburger bun.
  6. Generously ladle green chili sauce over each patty and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Top each Slopper with chopped onions and place the top half of the bun on the side.
