Tagine is a slow-cooked savory stew, aromatic and rich with history, originating from the North African region, particularly Morocco. The name itself refers to the conical earthenware vessel in which it is traditionally cooked, designed to retain moisture and enhance the dish’s flavors. Tagine typically combines meats like lamb or chicken with vegetables or fruit, spiced with ginger, saffron, and sometimes a hint of sweetness from honey or dried fruits. Served communally, this dish embodies the warmth of Moroccan culture and cuisine.
