Ingredients

  • pork mince – 500 g / 1.1 lbs
  • salt – 1 tsp / 5 g
  • pepper – 1/2 tsp / 2 g
  • all-purpose flour – 1/2 cup / 60 g
  • egg – 1 large
  • breadcrumbs – 1 cup / 120 g
  • butter – 2 tbsp / 30 g
  • vegetable oil – 2 tbsp / 30 ml
  • potatoes, peeled and quartered – 600 g / 1.3 lbs
  • heavy cream – 1/2 cup / 120 ml

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the pork mince, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly to combine.
  2. Shape the mixture into four evenly sized patties.
  3. Prepare a breading station with separate plates of flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs.
  4. Coat each patty first in flour, then in egg, and finally in breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat butter and oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties for about 5–6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and set aside.
  7. In another saucepan, heat the heavy cream gently and pour over the potatoes just before serving.
  8. Serve the Krebinetter hot with creamy potatoes on the side.
