Ingredients
- Ground beef – 500 g / 1.1 lbs
- Onion – 1 medium, finely chopped
- Cooked rice – 1 cup / 200 g
- Eggs – 2, beaten
- Bread crumbs – 1/2 cup / 60 g
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin – 1/2 tsp
- Vegetable oil – for frying
- Flour – for coating
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, half of the chopped onion, cooked rice, one egg, salt, black pepper, and cumin. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into oval patties, approximately the size of a small palm.
- In a separate bowl, beat the remaining egg. Dip each patty first into the flour, then into the beaten egg, and finally coat with bread crumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the patties until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with a side of fresh salad or yogurt.
