Ingredients

  • olive oil – 2 tbsp / 28 g
  • onion – 1 large / 150 g, finely chopped
  • minced beef – 1 lb / 450 g
  • tomato paste – 3 tbsp / 50 g
  • turmeric – 1 tsp / 3 g
  • salt – 1.5 tsp / 9 g
  • ground black pepper – 0.5 tsp / 1 g
  • water – 1 cup / 240 ml
  • fresh parsley – 1/4 cup / 15 g, chopped
  • large tomato – 1 / 180 g, diced

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Stir in minced beef and cook until browned.
  4. Add tomato paste, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Pour in water and add diced tomato. Stir to combine.
  6. Cover and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
