Ingredients

  • Pork shoulder – 2 lbs / 900 g
  • Garlic cloves – 4 cloves, minced
  • Cumin powder – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice – 1/4 cup / 60 ml
  • Salt – 2 tsp
  • Black pepper – 1 tsp
  • Red onion – 1 large, sliced
  • Paprika – 2 tsp
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Cut the pork shoulder into medium-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, cumin, turmeric, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to form a marinade.
  3. Add the pork cubes to the marinade and coat thoroughly. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  5. Add the sliced onions and sauté until translucent.
  6. Add the marinated pork to the pan and sear on all sides until golden brown.
  7. Lower the heat, add paprika, cover the pan, and let it cook for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pork is tender.
