Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant.
- Add the chicken wings and brown them on both sides.
- Pour in the soy sauce, honey, Shaoxing wine, and water. Stir well.
- Add the star anise, green onions, and black pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer for 30-40 minutes or until the wings are tender and the sauce has thickened.
