Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour – 3 cups / 360 g
  • Eggs – 3 large
  • Warm water – 1 cup / 240 ml
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Butter – 1 cup / 225 g, melted
  • Assorted meats (beef and chicken, minced) – 500 g / 1.1 lbs
  • Onion – 1 large, finely chopped
  • Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
  • Paprika – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
  • Mushrooms – 200 g / 7 oz, sliced
  • Cabbage – 1 cup / 70 g, shredded
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add eggs and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  4. Stir in meats, mushrooms, and cabbage. Season with paprika and black pepper. Cook until meats are fully browned.
  5. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  6. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle. Brush with melted butter.
  7. Spread the cooked filling evenly over the dough. Roll up tightly into a log shape.
  8. Place the rolled dough in a round baking dish, coiling it into a spiral.
  9. Brush with remaining melted butter. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour until golden brown.
