Ingredients

  • sesame oil – 1 tablespoon
  • egg – 1 large, beaten
  • breadcrumbs – 50 g / 1/2 cup
  • cornstarch – 1 tablespoon
  • black pepper – 1 teaspoon
  • chicken broth – 500 ml / 2 cups
  • cooking oil – For frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, green onions, sesame oil, egg, breadcrumbs, cornstarch, and black pepper until well mixed.
  2. Form the mixture into 16 even-sized balls.
  3. Heat cooking oil in a large pan over medium heat. Fry the pork balls until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. In a pot, bring chicken broth to a simmer. Transfer fried pork balls to the broth and simmer for an additional 10 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with additional chopped green onions.
