- large eggs – 2
- light brown sugar – 1 cup / 200 g
- cinnamon – 1 tablespoon
- pecans – 1 cup / 120 g (chopped)
- unsalted butter (for caramel glaze) – 1/2 cup / 112 g
- light corn syrup – 1/2 cup / 120 ml
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, salt, and yeast. Stir in warm milk, melted butter, and eggs. Knead until a soft dough forms.
- Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle shape. Spread with softened butter, then sprinkle with light brown sugar and cinnamon. Add chopped pecans evenly.
- Roll the dough tightly, starting from one long side. Slice into 8 even pieces.
- For the caramel glaze, melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in light brown sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes.
- Pour the glaze into a greased baking pan. Arrange the sliced rolls on top.
- Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for a few minutes before inverting onto a plate to serve.
