Honey-Soy Braised Chicken Wings, also known as Mut Jup Mun Gai Yik, is a classic Chinese dish that hails from southern China, featuring a harmonious balance of sweet, savory, and umami flavors. This dish is typically served as a popular family meal or special treat during gatherings. The key to its delectable taste lies in the slow braising process, where chicken wings soak up a luscious blend of honey, soy sauce, and aromatic spices, resulting in tender, flavorful wings that are glazed to perfection.

  • Green onions – 2 stalks, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • Star anise – 2 pieces
  • Black pepper – 1 teaspoon / 5 g
  • Sesame oil – 2 teaspoons / 10 ml
