Ingredients
- beef minced meat – 500 g / 1.1 lbs
- white onion – 2 large / 300 g
- breadcrumbs – 1 cup / 120 g
- egg – 1 large
- Dutch badjasaus (spicy peanut sauce) – 1 cup / 240 ml
- cooking oil – for frying
- salt – 1 tsp
- pepper – 1/2 tsp
Instructions
- Mix the minced meat, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs of equal size
- Peel and slice the onions into thick rings.
- Thread the meatballs and onion rings alternately onto skewers.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or a deep pan.
- Fry the skewers in batches until the meat is cooked through and golden brown, about 6-7 minutes.
- Drain the skewers on paper towels.
- Serve hot with Dutch badjasaus drizzled over the top.
